The City of Thompson Falls will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 9, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the City Hall at 108 Fulton Street in Thompson Falls. The City Council has scheduled the hearing to obtain public comments regarding the next phase of the City's wastewater system improvements project. With assistance from Great West Engineering, the recently started the project of updating its 2018 Wastewater System Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and preparing applications for funding from the Montana Department of Commerce, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, and USDA Rural Development
At the hearing, the proposed project will be explained, including the purpose and proposed area of the project, activities, budget, possible sources of funding, and any costs that may result for local citizens because of the project. The City Council will allow everyone to ask questions and to express their opinions regarding the project and its impact on Thompson Falls.
Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing before the end of the hearing on March 9, 2020. The public can also comment on the project by visiting the project website at http://thompsonfallsinfrastructure.com/ or the City's Facebook page.
